Trimetric Projection

A form of Axonometric Projection in which the scale of all three axes is different (hence “tri”). Not as commonly used in video games as Dimetric (often mistakenly called Isometric), Trimetric Projection creates a 3D appearance using 2D graphics.

Trimetric Projection can be compared to Isometric and Dimetric, the two other forms of Axonometric Projection. In Isometric, all foreshortening is equal. In Dimetric, 2 axes are foreshortened equally, and in Trimetric, all three axes are foreshortened differently.
